Clay Riebel

Clay Riebel, 55 of Wayland, MO died Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Blessing Health Keokuk.

He was born August 15, 1966 in Bloomfield, Iowa the son of Roger M. and Mareta Riebel.

Clay graduated from Scotland County R-1 High School with the class of 1984.  On April 15, 2001 he married Tammy Butcher in Alexandria, Missouri.  She preceded him in death on July 17, 2018.

Clay was employed with IMI Equipment in Kahoka as a truck driver.

He enjoyed working on cars, lawn mowers, three wheelers and trucks especially his ’68 Chevy C-10 truck.  He also enjoyed going to car shows.

He is survived by two sons: Anthony Fox and Corey Fox of Wayland, six grandchildren: Aubrey Fox, Trestin Fox, Kaden Fox, Johnathan Fox, Hunter Fox, Preston Fox, his sisters: Karla Matlock (John Aldridge) of Clarence and Cheryl Golbricht (Rick) of Memphis, brothers: Tommy Riebel (Nancy Girardin) of Memphis and Roger L. Riebel (Crystal) of Mitchellville, IA two brothers in law: Kinzie Butcher (Jan) of McLain, South Carolina and Samuel Butcher of Boonville, one sister-in-law: Tina Gandy of Boonville, mother-in-law: Donna Butcher of Boonville, MO as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service was held 1 p.m. Monday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Kahoka with Pastor Dan Deatrick officiating.  Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Wayland.

Visitation was held from 4 – 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the family meeting friends at that time.
