Arlen Wayne Irvin, 48, of Luray, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 6, 2023, in Kahoka, Missouri.

Arlen was born on November 9, 1974, in Keosauqua, Iowa, to Wesley and Hattie (Privia) Irvin. Arlen was a tinkerer from the get-go. He loved tractors, cars, bikes, and heavy equipment. He was always working on an engine, fixing an engine, or modifying an engine, with his brothers or on his own. Arlen had his Associates degree in Mechanics and worked for Bloomfield Ford before working at Shearer’s Foods in Burlington, Iowa.

Arlen was a generous, kind person, who helped anyone and everyone. One of his passions was going to Six Flags and getting off one fast ride to get in line and go do it again. His untimely passing has left a void in the lives of those who loved him that only he could fill.

Arlen is survived by his loving partner of 12 years, Cindy Lou Palmer; his brothers James Irvin of Luray, and Tony Irvin (Laura) of Burlington, Iowa; sisters Tammey Bunker of Luray, and Marie (Eddy) Vineyard of Hannibal, Missouri; Nephews, Stephen Keck, Devin Bunker, Dammon Bunker; niece, Amanda Norris; great-nephews, Dante, Wesley, Oliver, and Mason; and great-nieces Anastasia, Alaina, Avalon, Adalynn, Hennessey, and Willow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents.
