Clark County High School showcased remarkable talent at the Class 2 State Championships, held Friday and Saturday in Jefferson City.
Kaden Hamner dominated the sprints, securing first place in the 100, 200, and 400-meter dashes. Mason McDaniel also excelled, finishing third in the 3200-meter run and fourth in the 1600-meter run.
Hamner set a new state record of 21.52 in 200 meter, and broke his own school record in the 400 meter, with a 48.21 time. He also set a school record of 10.66 in the 100 meter.
The boys’ 4×100 meter relay team of Jonny Shinn, Konner Westercamp, Callan Wheeler and Kaden Hamner captured first place, while the 4×800 meter relay team finished eighth.
