Lila Seaver
LURAY, Mo. — Lila Seaver, 85, of Luray, Missouri, died at 12:18 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, surrounded by her family at the Clark County Nursing Home. Lila was born Nov. 5, 1938, in Hancock County, Illinois, the daughter of Lyle H. and Alpha (Douglas) Livingston. Lila attended Hamilton High School. She married Wilbert Franklyn Seaver on June 29, 1956, in Burnside, Illinois. He survives. She was a faithful and active member of the Luray Church of Faith (Methodist). Lila enjoyed having a large garden and canning her produce. She liked tending to her baby calves. She also enjoyed collecting angels and had quite a collection. Lila loved being in the kitchen, where she cooked her specialty—beef and noodles—as well as desserts like cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies. A highlight for Lila and Frank was their trip to Hawaii and Alaska with several friends, which they talked about for years afterward. She cherished time with her family and looked forward to their visits and family meals. Lila is survived by her husband of 68 years, Frank; two sons, Lyle Seaver of Arbela, Missouri, and Gary (Jodie) Seaver of Canton, Missouri; one daughter, Tammy Eddleman of Luray, Missouri; one brother, Charles R. Livingston of Kirksville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Tommy (Melody) Seaver, Danielle Eddleman, John (Nicki Franklin) Eddleman, and Devin (Natasha) Eddleman; six great-grandchildren, Nathan Seaver, Nole Seaver, Caden Kerfoot, Blake Kerfoot, Emily Schmitz, and Ruger Eddleman, with one more due in November; and two grand-dogs, Tippy and Truffles. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Adam Seaver; and one sister-in-law, Bonnie Livingston. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2024, at Wilson & Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka, Missouri. Pastor Donna Reid will officiate. Burial will follow at Seaver- Eddleman Family Cemetery in Arbela, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
