Ethan Allen will take over as the new head coach of the Clark County Indian football team. He will be assisted by state champion teammate Bryan Plenge, who will serve as Defensive Coordinator.
Purple Heart Community: Clark County, the City of Kahoka, and the Clark County R-1 High School have been designated Purple Heart communities by the Military Order of the Purple Heart. The presentations were made at an assembly at the High School on Thursday, May 14.

Two distinguished athletes were named Outstanding Senior Athletes at the annual CCR-1 Athletic Awards program. They were Skye Henson and Jesse Sewell.
Roger and Carol Nimmo retired from the Clark County School District after 28 years.
Clark County junior Shania Dochterman won the state track meet’s 300M Hurdles championship with a time of 46.42 seconds.
Rack Frey was honored as volunteer of the year by the Kahoka Head Start.
Frank Wright and his wife Joy opened the Down Home Restaurant on the southeast corner of the square in Kahoka.
Michael Scott of Kahoka will attend Boys State on the campus of Central Missouri University in Warrensburg.
