Clark County Boys Qualify Seven Entries for State Track Meet
MOKANE, Mo. — Clark County’s boys turned in a strong sectional performance Saturday, May 16, at the MSHSAA Class 2 Sectional 2 track and field meet at South Callaway High School, qualifying seven entries for the state meet.
The top four finishers in each event advanced to state. Mason McDaniel led the Indians with three individual state-qualifying finishes, placing second in the 3,200-meter run in 10:41.46 and third in both the 800-meter run in 2:00.33 and the 1,600-meter run in 4:38.07.
The Clark County boys 4×800-meter relay team also advanced with a second-place finish in 8:24.18. Lukas Weaver qualified in the triple jump, placing third at 12.9 meters, while Wyatt Billings advanced in the pole vault with a third-place finish at 3.78 meters. Avery Biggerstaff added a state berth in the discus, placing fourth with a throw of 42.48 meters.
