 JAMES CALVIN (ANDY) ANDERSON 

October 7, 1933 – 

May 11, 2024 

James was born and grew up in Wyaconda, Missouri on his family farm, served in the Air Force for four years and went to College. He later moved to Texas and married Myrna (Micki) Jones in 1969 in Houston, Texas. They later moved to Conroe, Texas where they raised their five children. He drove all over the United States in an 18-Wheeler hauling goods for many years and later became a mechanic and retired in 2012. He died peacefully of natural causes in his home at the age of 90. He was a beloved son, a loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather and a great friend. He will be missed. 

He is survived by his wife Myrna (Micki) Anderson, his niece Jill Anderson Cox and husband Lane Cox and great nephew Dale Fincher. 

His five children, Kimberly Merdian and husband Deryl Merdian, Kelley Dugas, Elizabeth Baker and Husband Cliff Baker, Jamie Anderson, and Stephanie Anderson. 

His grandchildren, Kayla Broughton and husband Pierre Broughton, Garrison Price and wife Tanis Price, Denver Dugas, Devin Dugas, Daniel Johnston, Cody Baker and wife Jennifer Baker, Zachary Baker, Allison Anderson, Sarah Anderson, Hannah Anderson, Ocean Vasquez, and Sway Anderson. 

His great grandchildren, AJ Broughton, Stevie Roan Price, Kashton Dugas, Isabella Dugas, Parker Dugas, Melanie Wall, Sylvia Baker and One on the way. 

Proceeded in death by his mother Sylvia LaFrenz Anderson, his father James E Anderson, his brother Francis Edward Anderson, his great nephew Grant Guarin, his son-n-law Alton Dugas, his grandson Jacob Baker. 

Graveside service at Cashner Funeral Home on Thursday May 16, 2024 10:00 am at Garden Park Cemetery.
