EDINA, Mo. — 5:45 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026 — Law enforcement agencies are investigating the disappearance of a missing Edina woman described by authorities as “very concerning.”
Lindsey Watts, 35, of Edina was last seen Tuesday night, May 19, at approximately 11 p.m. by a family member after returning home to 510 N. Fifth St. following her shift at The Blessing Center in Edina.
According to Knox County Sheriff Carl Knoche, family members discovered Wednesday morning, May 20, that Watts was no longer at the residence.
Watts did not report to her scheduled shift at work Wednesday and did not call in, which family members said is unusual.
Later that day, Watts’ family reported her missing to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office. Knoche responded to the residence and began investigating the disappearance.
During the investigation, Knoche determined Watts was missing her vehicle, car keys, wallet and money. Knoche also located Watts’ cellphone in a ditch near her residence.
Watts is described as approximately 5-foot-2, weighing about 125 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what clothing she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted in the investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control, and the Kirksville Police Department.
Knoche is asking anyone with information regarding Watts’ whereabouts to contact the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 660-397-2186, extension 1.
The sheriff is also requesting that residents in the vicinity of Watts’ home in northeast Edina check surveillance cameras for any activity overnight Tuesday into early Wednesday morning, including any movement of people or vehicles.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
