(NEMOnews AI) The Clark County Indian boys tallied 154 points to win the Class 2, District 3 Championship. The meet was held Saturday, May 4, at Monroe City.
Seventeen Clark County athletes advanced to next weekends sectional meet.
Lady Indian Ava McKay took a district title in Pole Vault, and Irelyne Plenge placed third. Maggie Weaver finished third in the 800M race, and Lundyn Neves took fourth in the 100 Meter Hurdles.
Kaden Hamner owned the sprints, winning first in the 100M, 200M and 400M races, while Mason McDaniel continued his domination of the distance events, winning the 1600M and the 3200M races.
Clint Chamley took first in discus, and the 4×100 team of Jonny Shinn, Konner Westercamp, Callan Wheeler and Kaden Hamner rounded out the first place finishes.
Kade Wilson advances with a second place in the 110M Hurdles, and the 4×800 team of Wheeler, Gavin Schuetz, Austin Day, and McDaniel also claimed second place. The 4×200 team of Brennan Fuller, Westercamp, Josh Davidson and Lucus Eddleman also took second.
In the 4×400, Shinn, Schuetz, Day and Wheeler placed third. Shinn took fourth in the 200M, while Wheeler was fourth in the 400M. Eddleman placed fourth in Long Jump to round out the Indians heading to Sectional.
