Residents from across Knox County and surrounding communities joined local pastors, law enforcement supporters, family members and friends during the hour-long vigil organized by the Knox County Ministerial Alliance. The top four finishers in each event advanced to state. Mason McDaniel led the Indians with three individual state-qualifying finishes, placing second in the 3,200-meter run in 10:41.46 and third in both the 800-meter run in 2:00.33 and the 1,600-meter run in 4:38.07.
